Working from her studio in South Somerset, Deni's art is mainly in abstract form and is inspired by the shimmering beauty of the Earth's minerals and the colours and depth of the oceans.
Deni works on slate, cradled birch ply and wood, as well as canvas. Her art is always evolving and she loves to play with various textures and mixed media, using plaster, acrylics, rich pigments, flaked mica, sand, gold leaf, waxes, coffee grounds, vermiculite, fireglass and more! The majority of her work is finished with layers of resin which is then blow torched. Many weeks of work results in an eye catching and highly reflective piece of art which also encourages the onlooker to feel the texture created.
