Lucy's current work is inspired by the Southwest landscape, its plants and wildlife; exploring pattern, shape and colour observed in her immediate natural world, often gathering inspiration from my garden and the hedgerow. Lucy works with mixed media; layering ink, paint, monoprint, drypoint and collage to make semi abstracted pieces, sometimes more illustrative and decorative. Lucy enjoys colour and her practice has developed alongside a career in Art and Design education, which she enjoys. She has continued learning through showing others "how to make art".
